Plant Profile
Poa cita – Silver Tussock
Poa cita – Silver Tussock
A long-lived, upright clumping grass from New Zealand, Poa cita forms elegant tussocks of very narrow, shiny pale green leaves that age to green-brown, creating a silvery effect in the landscape. Arching flower stems rise just above the foliage in summer, bearing loose, open arrangements of bronze flower heads. Tolerates drought, wind, and coastal conditions with ease. Rake out old leaves annually to keep clumps fresh and attractive. An excellent accent or groundcover plant.
