A robust and vigorous carpet bugle, 'Mahogany' forms a dense, spreading mat of shiny dark mahogany foliage that provides rich, year-round color in the garden. In spring and early summer, bright blue flower spikes rise above the dark leaves in a striking contrast. Deer, drought, clay, bog, and coast tolerant — an excellent low-maintenance groundcover for borders, pots, rock gardens, and between stepping stones.
