Lysimachia nummularia 'Goldilocks' – Creeping Jenny

Light up moist garden edges with a trailing carpet of golden, coin-shaped leaves.

Lysimachia nummularia 'Goldilocks', commonly called Creeping Jenny, is a vigorous creeping perennial groundcover, not an ornamental grass. Its rounded yellow-green to golden leaves hug the ground or cascade over container rims, creating a bright contrast beside green sedges and other moisture-loving plants. Small yellow flowers appear in late spring to summer, though the foliage provides the main display. Tuck it into a mixed planter for a flowing golden edge or use it in a contained garden space with consistently moist soil. Foliage color is generally brighter with more sun, but afternoon shade helps protect leaves in hot climates. Its stems root as they spread and can overrun smaller plants, so trim regularly and avoid planting where it can escape into natural areas. Do not allow container plantings to dry out completely.
