Lomandra confertifolia 'Pom Pom' – Mat Rush

Bring soft texture and rounded evergreen form to your garden with 'Pom Pom' Mat Rush.

Lomandra confertifolia 'Pom Pom' is a grass-like perennial rather than a true grass, forming a compact, rounded mound of fine green foliage. Its gently arching leaves soften path edges, complement bold-leaved plants, and add a relaxed texture to mixed containers. Repeat it through a border for a rhythm of green mounds or plant it in groups for a cohesive, foliage-focused landscape. Small creamy-yellow flowers nestle among the leaves seasonally, while the foliage provides the main display. Give it well-drained soil and regular water during establishment; established plants tolerate periods of drought, with occasional supplemental irrigation helpful during extended dry weather. Remove tired leaves as needed to maintain its tidy outline.
